Joanne “JoJo” Helen (Cragin) MacIntyre, 75, of Auburn, died November 30, 2012 surrounded by family after a brief illness.
She was born in Concord, NH on September 29, 1937 to Joseph and Helen (Bills) Cragin. Joanne graduated from New London High School and attended flight attendant school thereafter. She married the love of her life, Angus “Angie” MacIntyre in 1959, who fondly referred to her as “St. Joanne”, and they raised their family together in Auburn.
Joanne enjoyed gardening, playing cards, cooking, time spent at Old Orchard Beach and with her friends at Spatt’s, who also referred to her as “St. Joanne”, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time in her backyard with family, in the pool and barbequing. Joanne was always eager to make everyone happy, a true “sweetheart”.
She was predeceased by her husband Angus in 2010. The family includes one son, James MacIntyre, of Auburn, and his wife Cathy; one daughter, Judith Paris, of Auburn, and her husband Donald; six grandchildren, Michael, Ryan and Kasey Kelliher and Adam, James and Kelley Paris; one great grandchild, Noah Paris; two brothers, Ray Cragin, of CT, and his wife Jo, and John Cragin of CA; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 0310, followed by burial at Village Cemetery, Eaton Hill Road, Auburn, NH 03032.
