Felicia C. Tanona , 95, of Waterford Drive, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2012 in her home.
She leaves a brother; Robert V. Tanona and his wife Patricia of Scottsdale, AZ., 2 nieces; Lisa Sullivan Lacharite and Leah Sullivan, grandnieces; Ashley Chirnside Ely, Emma and Katie Chirnside and a grand nephew;Joshua Beers.
Felicia also leaves behind her good friends and caregivers; Angela Finne, Elizabeth Negron, Grant Peterson and Jennifer Oliva.
She was born in Worcester a daughter of Michael and Josephine (Klewiec) Tanona on November 16, 1917.
Felicia was predeceased by her brothers and sisters; Sophia ‘Sally’,Michael, William and his wife Doris, Charles, Vincent and Alice.
She worked for over 25 years for the U. S. Foreign Service and was stationed all over the world and retired 30 years ago. Her favorite place was Rome, Italy.
Felicia was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, she graduated from St. Mary’s School, Becker College and later Worcester State College. She also spoke 6 languages and enjoyed travelling.
Felicia’s Funeral will be Tuesday, December 4, 2012 with a Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
Visitation will be Private at the Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St. under the direction of Funeral Director Robert J. Miller.
