Mary Margaret Olsofsky
Augusta , GA – Mrs. Mary Margaret McCoy Pittman Olsofsky, 91, wife of 46 years to Mr. Joseph Olsofsky, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Platt’s Crawford Ave Chapel. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery.
Mrs. Olsofsky was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Augusta Ward, where she taught Primary. She loved gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles, telling stories, and cooking. Mrs. Olsofsky helped raise several generations of her family. She enjoyed sitting around the table talking and spending time with her family. She also loved travelling to Tybee Island and the mountains with her husband.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her two sons, Alford W. Pittman (Jackie) of Golden, CO, Jerry D. Pittman (Theresa) of Clarks Hill, SC; two daughters, Frances Woods (Willie “Bubba”) of Augusta, GA, Gail Pittman of Augusta, GA , two brothers, J.B. McCoy of Augusta, GA, Chester McCoy (Mary Ruth) of Martinez, GA; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
