Funeral services for Annie Merle Wilson Ethridge, 77, of Ashburn will be held Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 2:30 P. M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Ethridge died Friday at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Ethridge was born in Turner County, GA, the daughter of the late George B. Wilson, Sr. and Sarah Ivey Wilson. She was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church and the Bill Hardin Sunday School Class and was a homemaker. She enjoyed working in her yard and raising day lilies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy C. Ethridge.
Mrs. Ethridge is survived by her children, Rachel Ethridge, Robin (Jack) Phillips. Jennifer (Alan) Alberson all of Ashburn and Greg (Beth) Ethridge, Warner Robins, GA. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Vic Jeffers, Angie Alberson, Katrina Richter, Daryl Alberson, Bonnie Alberson, Katherine Speight, Rhett Ethridge, “Little” Guy Ethridge, and her great grandchildren, Chance Richter, Alex Richter, Taylor Jeffers, Abbi Richter and Hudson Schmidt. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, George B. Wilson, Jr., Warner Robins, GA, Hiram G. Wilson, Herman D. Wilson, both of Rebecca, GA, William G. Wilson, Bryon, GA, Marie McCard, Ashburn, Ga., and Deena French, Knoxville, TN.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
