Mildred True Gore, age 72, of Coffeeville, MS died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at North MS Baptist Hospital in Oxford, MS after a brief illness. Born August 3, 1940 to the late Howard Shirley and Lucy Turner True, she married her husband, Robert Gore, who later preceded her in death. She worked many years for the MS Forestry Commission until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Elam Baptist Church and loved working in the church and spending time with her grandchildren.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2 PM in the sanctuary of the Elam Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Bro Fielder presiding. Burial will follow at 3 PM in the church cemetery with Jim Edwards, Jamison Perkins, Kristen Arbuckle, Cecil Harrison, Charles Bennett, and Doug Shields serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Gore Arbuckle of Grenada, MS and Connie Gore Perkins of Brooklyn, MS; one brother, Howard True of Water Valley, MS; and two grandchildren, Kristen Arbuckle and Robert Jamison Perkins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda True Dixon, four brothers, Harold True, Robert True, Stanley True, and Joe True, and a son-in-law, Bo Arbuckle.
