Fredrick G. Arnold, 86, of Tifton died Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church. Bro. Tony Walker and Bro. Silas Carver will officiate with burial to follow in Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Arnold, Brett Willis, Trent Willis, Andy Gill, Mark Gill, Tony McBrayer and Michael Smith. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Arnold will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will meet at the home of Glenn McBrayer at 8 Revels Road in Tifton.
Mr. Arnold was born on May 23, 1926 in Tifton and was the son of Richmond Arnold and Lillie Gay Arnold, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Florence “Kathryn” McBrayer Arnold, who died in 2010; one brother; and one sister. He was retired from commercial construction and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Tifton. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Mr. Arnold is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Pat Arnold of Douglasville; one daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Bruce Trammell of Midland; five grandchildren and their spouses, Tiffany Arnold and Jonathan and Kathy Arnold, all of Douglasville, Brett and Dawn Willis of Ellerslie, Trent Willis and Amanda Trammell, both of Midland; four great grandchildren, Kayla Arnold, Jamison Arnold, Hunter Willis and Hayden Willis; one brother, Nelson Arnold of Swainsboro; and one sister, Cassie Colf of Geneva, New York.
