Rolland P. Galipeau, age 82, passed away on Wed. Nov. 28, 2012 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born April 19, 1930 in Chicopee. He was a son of the late Polydore and Armalina (Carrignan) Galipeau. He was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1948. He served in the United States Coast Guard and later worked as a maintenance man for Milton Bradley for over 20 years before he retired in 1993. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 160 in Indian Orchard and the American Legion, Post 275. He is predeceased by his wife Muriel Galipeau who passed away in February of 2012. He leaves 3 sons, Michael Galipeau and his wife Donna of Springfield, Roger Galipeau of Chicopee and David Galipeau and his wife Suzanne of Chicopee; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Galipeau of Chicopee; 2 daughters, Pauline Girard and her fiancé Gerrard White of Enfield, CT and Jacqueline Baker and her husband Francis of Gilbertville, MA; one brother, Joseph L. Galipeau of Fort Meyers, FL; 2 sisters, Jeanette Panette of Ludlow and Alice Carey of Leister, MA; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sister Rita Nash. All service will be private at the request of the family. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
