FALL RIVER … Louise (McCarthy) Francoeur, 83, of Swansea formerly of Fall River died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 after a long illness.
She was the wife of Joseph Francoeur.
She died at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Cunningham and Albina (Paradis) McCarthy and lived most of her life in Fall River with the last six months in Swansea.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Thomas Street, Fall River.
She was employed as a Circuit Board Fabricator with Raytheon Corp. in Portsmouth for 27 years before retiring where she received many commendations.
Mrs. Francoeur enjoyed Sewing, Knitting, Artwork, and writing.
Survivors include her husband, 3 sons: Thomas E., Alan J., and James A. Francoeur all of Fall River, 1 daughter Jo A. Whittle of Wisconsin, a brother Alfred McCarthy of Westport, a sister Maureen Gagnon of Fall River, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 9AM at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 15 Thomas Street, Fall River. Cremation to follow. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Walk To End Alzheimer’s c/o Judith Andrade Country Gardens Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center 2045 Grand Army Highway, Swansea, MA 02777.
