WEIR, Joe Ed, 77, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at his residence after a long battle with strokes.
He was born in Madison Co., TN to John Edwin Weir and Mildred (King) Weir Penrod.
Joe's last job was owner of his own cleaning business, when a stroke disabled him in 1992.
Joe was "Once a Marine, Always a Marine", who fought in the Korean War.
Joe's favorite place to be was his church, Cloverleaf Baptist Church, where he went every Sunday when he could get out of bed. He was an inspiration to his church family that he loved dearly. Joe has now gone on to be with the Lord and his family & friends that also knew his Savior.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Marlene (Roberts) Weir, his Brother: Ted Weir (Sherry) and his dearest friend for 67 years, Chester Bottoms, and many wonderful friends.
Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday 1 - 8 PM. Expressions to his church
