Rose M. (DeTeso) Jarvis, age 88, died Monday November 26, 2012 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, after a brief illness. Rose was the loving daughter of the late Katarina (Colichico) DeTeso & Salvatore DeTeso.
Rose was a lifelong Woburn resident. She attended the Johnson School and graduated from Woburn High School. Rose then went on to work for the Raytheon Co., in the vacuum tube division, during World War II.
Rose loved to be in the outdoors. She enjoyed her garden and working in the yard. Rose was extremely gifted, generous and well loved by all. She was passionate about her cooking, and took great pride in being a homemaker, but most of all she loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Rose was the beloved wife of the late Stephen J. Jarvis. Devoted mother of Stephen J. Jarvis, and his wife Debra of Lowell, Bruce J. Jarvis, and his wife Patricia of North Wood, NH. Loving grandmother of Michael, Kevin, Joseph, John & Catherine Jarvis. Sister of the late Joseph, Caroline, Anthony, Francis, Ann, and Salvatore DeTeso. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN Friday, Nov. 30th at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Thursday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn
