Evelyn D. (Slamin) Faldasz, 84, of Natick, passed away on November 25, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Zigmont E. “Ziggie” Faldasz with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.
A lifelong Natick resident, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Raymond Andrew and Dorothy (DesChamps) Slamin. She was educated in the Natick Public Schools and was a graduate of Natick High School. For many years Evelyn was a lunch monitor at the Lilja Elementary School. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who also enjoyed needlepoint and was an avid reader.
In addition to her husband, Evelyn is survived by 2 children, Richard Faldasz and his wife Karyn of Natick and Gary Faldasz and his wife Mary of Glenwood Springs, CO; 2 grandchildren, Marissa and Ryan Faldasz; her aunt, Jay DesChamps of Southborough; and many other loving relatives. She was the sister of the late Raymond Slamin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Evelyn’s funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) Natick on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 9:15 AM to be followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central St. (Rt. 135) Natick at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 3-7 PM.
