CARMEN L. OTTAVI
Carmen L. Ottavi (Hickey) of Stoneham, passed away on Friday March 1, 2002 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital, Melrose. On March 22nd she would have celebrated her 85th birthday.
Born in Wisconsin, Mrs. Ottavi was a resident of Stoneham for the past 51 years. Before her retirement she was a business teacher in Chelsea and a substitute teacher in Stoneham.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her family was first and foremost in her life. She was an avid reader, enjoyed going to Florida in the winter and loved to golf.
Mrs. Ottavi was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Guido A. Ottavi. She was the devoted mother of Dominic Ottavi of Stoneham, Thomas Ottavi of Milwaukee WI, Ellen Swanson and her husband Thomas of Stoneham, Margaret Deighan and her husband David of Lynnfield. She was the loving grandmother of MaryEllen, Emily, and Kathryn Swanson, Meghan Deighan, Mary Kathryn Deighan. She was the sister of Ann Hickey Kent of Wisconsin.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours Sunday March 3rd at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. Stoneham from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham on Monday March 4th at 10 a.m.
