Adolph J. (Andy) Anderson, 91, of Hudson, NH, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, surrounded by family. Mr. Anderson was born in Portsmouth, NH, on February 4, 1921, the son of the late Adolph C. and Ina F. (Amazeen) Anderson. He was employed by Philco Corp. in Philadelphia PA, and worked on the radar system used in WWII. He retired in 1991 from Raytheon Corp. in Waltham, MA. Mr. Anderson enjoyed spending time with his family and was an active member in the Baptist church. He has resided in Hudson for the past 17 years, formerly living in Chelmsford, MA, for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Shirley V. (Fiske) Anderson of Hudson, two sons, Sherwood Anderson and his wife Beth of Littlerock, AR, and Gary Anderson and his wife Debbie of Hudson, three grandchildren, Geoffrey Anderson and his wife Alisa of Littlerock, AR, Isis Lee of Providence, RI, and Jonathan Anderson of Hudson, NH, his great-grandson, Judah Anderson of Littlerock, AR, also several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, the family will hold a memorial service at First Baptist Church of Derry, 4 Crystal Avenue, Derry, NH, on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2:00. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry, NH, are assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Sonshine Soup Kitchen, Derry, NH.
