Bobby Glenn Hensley
May 29, 1938 - November 24, 2012

Bobby Glenn Hensley, 74, of Anderson, died November 24, 2012 at St. John's Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born May 29 1938 in Tuckerman, Arkansas, the son of Loyell and Eunice (Healy) Hensley. He attended elementary school at Alicia and Egypt Elementary schools in Arkansas, then Chesterfield Elementary, followed by Franklin Middle School and graduating from Anderson High School in 1956.

He was employed as a tool and dye maker with Delco Remy for 37 years, retiring in 1998. He had also been employed by Golds, Payless, and Standard Grocery Stores. He was a member of the Madison County Coin Club, and Anderson Slow Pitch Softball League. He married Judy (York) Hensley on March 8, 1996 in Chesterfield.

Survivors include his wife Judy Hensley, 3 daughters, Vicky Hensley (Roxie Coble) of Carmel, Cathy Swafford (Keith Vores) and Shelly (Vaughn) McCoy all of Anderson. 9 Stepchildren: Rob Faucett of Asheboro,NC, Melinda Faucett of Anderson, Ted Magers (Vickie) of Anderson, Bill (Judy) Magers , Peggy (Mike) Reynolds all of Anderson, Susie (Derek Hansen) Bowen of Noblesville, Patty (David) Hart of Crestview, FL, Mike (Tamera) Magers of Pendleton, MaryAnn Polinsky of El Paso, Tx 3 Brothers: Dale (Dean) Hensley of Lake Placid, FL, Jim (Judy) Hensley of Anderson and Ray (Diane) Hensley of Anderson. 19 Grandchildren: Gunnar and Nathan Coble, Katie Rains, Danielle Swafford, Evan and Austin McCoy, Thomas and Krista Faucett, Julie (Pat) Petrowsky, Stacy (Phil) Savage, Stephen Magers, David and Ben Bowen, Meghan and Mandy Hart, Christina and Addi Magers, Liz and Emily Polinsky. . 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: his parents and his brother Carl Hensley, and granddaughter, Kristy Moore.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 12 Noon at the Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service with Rob Mifflin officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow the funeral services.

Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society.
