Maliski of Brockton June 17, 2004 Shirley M. (Monahan) Maliski 78 years.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 11 am. Burial at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation Mon. 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to American Amputee Hockey Assoc. 41 Buena Vista Way, Hanover, MA 02339.

Obituary

Mrs. Maliski died Thursday evening surrounded by her family at St. Joseph Manor after a period of failing health. She was born in Boston daughter of the late Joseph A. and Louise (Meady) (Monahan) Clark and was raised and educated in Abington. She had been a resident of Brockton for over 50 years.

Mrs. Maliski had worked in several local nursing homes as a nursing assistant and had also been a home health aide at Caffrey Towers in Brockton.She enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Caffrey Towers and taking trips to Plymouth harbor to people watch.

She is survived by her six children John Monahan of Holbrook; Joseph “Butch” Maliski of Middleboro; Wayne Maliski of Brockton; Susan and Mark Maliski both of Taunton and Brenda Maliski of Carver.

She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildrenShe was the sister of Joseph Monahan of Abington; Robert Monahan of Michigan; James Monahan of Easton; Marion Desmond of Brockton; Jeanette Monahan of Brockton; Barbara DeMaria of Bellingham; Charlotte Lake of Wareham and Marcia Uzzell of Brockton.She is also survived by many nieces and nephews

She was the mother of the late John and Patrick Maliska and sister of the late Ann Plickezicz, Margaret Weimert, Donald, Patty, Albert and William Monahan

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, Brockton Monday at 11 am. The Rev. Kenneth Hilston will officiate.Burial at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery.
