Fayette A. (Anderson) White, 96, of West Bridgewater formerly of Whitman, passed away November 22nd, surrounded by her family in the St Joseph Manor in Brockton. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur W. White, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Somerville on September 27, 1916, she graduated from Quincy High School at the age of 16.Fay was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Watson) Anderson.
She lived in Whitman for many years, where she worked at the Forest Street/Conley school as a teacher’s aide. Fay and her late husband, Arthur, moved to West Bridgewater in 1974.
Fay was a voracious reader and also enjoyed gardening and spending time at her cottage in Truro on Cape Cod. Her greatest joys were the time she spent with her husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Donald White and his wife Winnifred Petkunas of Brockton and Brewster, her daughter Wendy Katz of Dennis, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Robert A. White of Arizona.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Manor for the care and compassion Fay received over the past five years and also to the staff of Hospice Services of Massachusetts.
Her services will be held on Tuesday November 27th at 11AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.( Rte 58 at the Rotary circle) Whitman, MA. Burial will follow in the High St. Cemetery, Whitman. Visitation will be on Monday November 26th from 4:00-6:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fay’s name may be made
