Cynthia C. (Luiz) Linehan, 63, of Manchester, died November 24, 2012 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a two year battle with clear cell endometrial cancer.
She was born in Manchester on June 17, 1949 to J. John and Ruth (Perkins) Luiz. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame College in Manchester and a master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire in Durham.
Cynthia taught as an elementary school reading specialist in the Manchester and Nashua school systems for over 30 years. She was a member of many literacy related professional associations.
She was very artistic and enjoyed gardening, quilting and time spent with her grandchildren.
The family includes her husband of 42 years, Denis F. Linehan of Manchester; two children, Denis J. Linehan of Bedford and Kelli Baldasaro and her husband, Tony, of Stratham; six grandchildren, Megan, Ryan and Brynn Linehan and Ben, Elisabeth and Emma Baldasaro; her mother, Ruth (Perkins) Luiz of Goffstown; four siblings, Deborah Schroeder and her husband, Richard, of Temple, TX, Nancy Allard and her husband, Dennis, and Jon Luiz and his wife, Debbie, all of Manchester and Jay Luiz of Miami, FL; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony was held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
