Berlin, MA
William W. “Bill” LaForce, 71, of Berlin, formerly of Marlboro and Worcester, died at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, Nov. 21st. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Paula E. (Adams) LaForce.
Bill was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Joseph and Rosalie (Thomas) LaForce. He attended local schools and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Air Force until being honorably discharged in 1966. Bill enjoyed researching Geneology, stamp collecting and all the Boston Sports teams, especially the Red Sox broadcasts with Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo .He enjoyed his frequent trips to Vermont, panning for gold and other activities the rivers provided. Bill enjoyed local auctions, yard sales and was an active volunteer within his community. He truly enjoyed attending all his grandson’s sporting events and will be missed by all who knew him, especially his Tonkanese Cat “Emma”.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Belinda J. Murdock of Berlin; his son, Phillip W. LaForce and his fiancé Catherine G. Williams of Marlboro; his two sisters, Barbara Crowton of Red Bank, NJ, Edna Lapan of Millbury; two brothers, Lawrence LaForce of Delaware and Robert LaForce of Colorado. He is also survived by his grandson Dillon E. LaForce of Hudson and his many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Janet Lapan and Thomas LaForce.
A service and celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28th at 10:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial will follow in North Cemetery, Berlin. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
