Obituary

North Brookfield - Albert C. "Nick" Urquhart, 80, died Thursday November 22, 2012, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Mabel (Arnberg) and Kenneth Urquhart. He worked as an oil burner technician for National Coal & Oil and Sweatland Pierce of Pittsfield, MA for over 20 years. Nick resided in the Worcester area for 30+ years and in Stephentown, NY, for 46 years. Nick was a proud member of the Berkshire Blacksmiths, an avid NY Yankees fan, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading.



He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alethia (Mullet) Urquhart; sons, Robert Urquhart of Middle Grove, NY and William Urquhart of Wellfleet; step-daughter, Linda Christianson of Brookfield; seven grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Keith Urquhart and 2 sisters, Helen Monroe and Muriel Sennott.



Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from1:00-3:00 p.m. There is no funeral or burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Brookfield Ambulance Fund, 84 S. Main Street, North Brookfield, MA 01535.
