Emmette Donald Kendrick, 70, of Carrollton formerly of Ty Ty passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Pine Knoll Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton. Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 24, 2012, Ty Ty Baptist Church Cemetery with burial to follow.
Mr. Kendrick was born on March 17, 1942 in Tifton and was the son of Emmette J. Kendrick and Annie Pearle West Kendrick, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Cheri Windham. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a postman and was a member of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed his time spent selling at the flea market.
Mr. Kendrick is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Ricky Cosby of Douglasville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Tina Kendrick of Winston, Rex and Mary Kendrick and Ramon and Carol Kendrick all of Douglasville; his former wife and the mother of his children, Amy Lorine Kendrick of Douglasville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dollie and Travis Metts of Winston and Anne and Al Fritsch of Milford, Ohio; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
