Obituary

Mr. Rene H. Levesque, Jr., of Taunton, died Tuesday, November 20 in the Golden Living Center – Oak Hill, Middleboro, following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Judy (McLaughlin) Levesque. He was born 57 years ago in Taunton, the son of Rene H. Levesque, Sr. and the late Elizabeth (McMann) Levesque. He was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School, and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to his illness, he had been employed as a foreman for the Quebecor Corporation in Taunton. Rene was a member of the Portuguese-American Civic Club and was an umpire for both the USSSA and the ASA in the area. He enjoyed bowling, softball, umpiring, karaoke, making people laugh, and spending time with his family, especially his father.
In addition to his wife and father, both of Taunton, he leaves: 2 sons: Richard Levesque and his wife, Lindsey of Taunton, and Corey Levesque of Taunton; 1 daughter: Keri Anderson and her husband, Ryan of Taunton; 2 brothers: Joseph Levesque and his wife, Mona of Middleboro, and Allen Levesque and his wife, Cheryl of San Antonio, Texas; 1 sister: Denise Frost and her companion, Dan Jones of Taunton; 2 grandchildren: Austin Levesque and Tyler Anderson, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rene was also the brother of the late Charles Levesque of Raynham.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Sunday, November 25 at 7:00 P.M. Visiting Hours will precede the Service, Sunday, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Golden Living Center – Oak Hill Activities Fund, 76 North St., Middleboro, Ma., 02346.
