Jack William Neil, 69, of Indian Mound, TN, died on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center. He was born on December 12, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to the late William Charles Neil and Margaret Young Neil. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Drumin Neil.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. William Gray officiating. Burial will be in Rye's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 1-5 p.m. and Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Jack was a baker for six years at Silkes Bakery in Clarksville, TN. Prior to that he was a baker at Publix for 17 years in Ladylake, FL. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Neil of Indian Mound, TN; son, Joshua William Bedwell of Indian Mound, TN; three daughters, Christine (Rick) Hall of Ladylake, FL, Pamela (Berto) Neil of Ladylake, FL, and Deanna Berry of Hershey, PA; two brothers, Harold (Fran) Neil of Orlando, FL and Donald (Jean) Neil of Dover, TN; cousin, Tom "Yobo" (Elaine) Neil of Winterhaven, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Pat Travis; beloved nephew, Michael Bedwell Travis; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim Tyler, Stan Conely, Joe Shannon, Matt Ladd, Shawn Waxler, and Steven Hall. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Bedwell Travis.
