Traci L. (Rego) Arsenault, 42, of New Bedford died peacefully on Friday November 16, 2012 from complications from Lupus. She was the wife of Glenn A. Arsenault.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Jayme and Sandra (Mello) Rego, she graduated from Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational-Technical High School and Bristol Community College with high honors in child care.
Traci was formerly employed as a special needs teacher at the Hastings Middle School in Fairhaven.

Survivors include her husband; her parents; three stepchildren, Braiden Arsenault, stationed in Hawaii, and his fiancée Sarah Litke, Jarred Arsenault of New Bedford and Maeghan Arsenault of Connecticut; her grandparents, Jayme and Edith Rego of New Bedford; her aunts and uncles, Beverly Perry, Shirley Bettencourt, Robert "Bobby" Rego, and Russell Mello; her cousins, Gunnery Sgt. Chad Bettencourt and family, and Melanie and Kelsey Bettencourt; her Godfather, Robert Rego; her in-laws, Dennis and Karen Arsenault and Michael and Linda Enos; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the granddaughter of the late Manuel "Wardie" and Elsie Cabral Mello, and cousin of the late Lance Bettencourt.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to her family.
