Methuen - Rose (Petzold) Faulkner, 91, of Methuen died peacefully at Sutton Hill Center in North Andover on Saturday, November 17, 2012.
Rose was born to the late Ernest R. and Margaret (Greim) Petzold on July 26, 1921. She was a graduate of Lawrence Senior High School, class of 1939 and attended McIntosh Business School of Lawrence.
She was married to Edward J. Faulkner of Lawrence on February 17, 1943 for 50 wonderful years. Edward passed away in Florida in March 1993.
She worked as a bookkeeper for several local firms. Rose a communicant of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen.
Rose is survived by her niece, Nancy (Petzold) Phillips and her husband, John, of Lawrence; her brother, Leonard Petzold, of Salem, NH; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, and a great grandnephew. She is predeceased by four brothers, Arthur Petzold, Ernest R. Petzold, and Donald Petzold and two sisters, Betty Petzold Gallagher and Marilyn Carter
Family and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Rose’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Wednesday from 9:30 – 10:30 AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen on Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
