Raia, Martha C. (Templeton), 80, formerly of Londonderry, NH, Lexington, MA and Centreville, MS died Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Warde Health Center, Windham from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Beloved wife of Richard M. Raia of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Lexington and Arlington, MA. Daughter of the late James and Elreno (Johnson) Templeton of Centreville, MS. Loving mother of Lyn Toomey and her husband Charles of Londonderry, Steven Raia and his wife Maxine of Norfolk, MA, Michael Raia and his wife Vicki of Wrentham, MA, and Joseph Raia of Millis, MA. Cherished grandmother of Lynsey and Jessica Toomey, Joshua and Sophia Raia, Alex and Daniel Raia and Cameron Raia. Also lovingly survived by her sister, Jean Napier of Jackson MS, and brothers James Templeton of St. Amant, LA, and Johnny Templeton of Centreville, MS, and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Martha was a graduate of Centreville High School, Southern Mississippi College and Vanderbilt University graduate School with a Master’s Degree in Hearing and Speech Therapy.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at 11:00am in the Warde Health Center, 21 Searles Road, Windham, NH. Burial will follow at 2pm in Westview Cemetery, Bedford Street, Lexington, MA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s association NH Chapter, 5 Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 201, Bedford, NH 03110. The Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
