Dorothy E. Wells, age 88, passed away at the Pope Nursing Home on November 16, 2012. Dorothy was born in 1924, the daughter of Theresa and Hartley Wells. She was raised in Weymouth, attended Weymouth Schools and graduated from Bridgewater Teacher’s College and the University of Florida.
Dorothy was a caring and supportive teacher at the Nevin, Adams, and Academy Ave. Schools. She later became Principal of the Seach and Academy Ave. Schools until her retirement.
She and her late friend Dorothy Peterson were avid travelers throughout North America, Hawaii, the Caribbean and many European countries. They especially enjoyed cruises.
She leaves many friends and adopted family. Funeral Services will be private.
