Furlong, Robert M. “Bob” of Braintree, passed away on Thursday Nov. 15, 2012 , surrounded by his family; he was 57. Much loved husband of 25 years to Jeanne (Kelly) Furlong of Braintree. Cherished father of Chelsea Furlong of NY, formerly of Braintree. Brother of Vincent Furlong of Quincy, Paul Furlong of Weymouth, Frank Furlong of NH and John Furlong of NY. Brother-in-law of JoAnne Hawkes and her husband John of South Boston, Karen McEachern and her husband Larry of Dennis and Joseph Kelly and his wife Barbara of South Boston. Dear friend of Maureen Anderson, Susan & Mark Gorny, all of South Boston, and John DiCarli of Rockland and Mark & Chris Jordan of Braintree. Bob is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob worked as Chief Estimator for Total Mechanical Service Corp. and was a member of the Quincy Sons of Italy. He enjoyed golfing and playing cards; he cherished time with family and friends. Bob will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and a faithful friend who will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock St. North Quincy Tuesday at 10am.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
