Stephen W. Golden Jr., age 85 of Somerset passed away November 14, 2012. Born in Fall River, he was the husband of the late Colette V. (St. Amand) Golden to whom he was married fifty-one years and son of the late Stephen W. Golden Sr. and Lillian (MacMurray) Golden. He was a retired salesman at Tom McCann Shoes where he had worked for 31 years, WWII U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Over The Hill Gang, a former Somerset Constable and was parishioner of St. Louis De France Church in Swansea.
Stephen was the father of Stephen W. Golden III (wife Melanie) of Missouri City, TX and David J. Golden (wife Lisa) of Fall River; brother of the late Beatrice McGayhey and step-brother of George Golden of Fall River. He was the loving grandfather of Heather, Matthew, Ashley, Sarah, Emily and great-grandfather of Samantha and Kenzie. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River MONDAY at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Louis De France Church, 56 Buffinton St., Swansea at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
