TEWKSBURY – Kerri Lee Johnston, age 30, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 14 at the Saints Campus of L.G.H. in Lowell.
She was born in Stoneham, September 10, 1982, daughter of Doreen C. (Robitaille) McGloughlin of Tewksbury and David C. Johnston of Tewksbury. She was raised in Tewksbury and graduated from the Shawsheen Vocational High School with the Class of 2000. Kerri attended Salter School to become a Medical Assistant, became a certified Nurses Aide and worked with severely impaired children. She went on to graduate from the Greater Lowell Vocational Technical School’s Nursing Program, where she received her certification. While attending school, she worked at Home Goods in Tewksbury, and upon receiving her goal of becoming a LPN worked at Fairhaven Nursing Care Center in Lowell.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. William’s Church in Tewksbury.
Besides her parents, she is survived by two children, Kaylee Jade Johnston and Tyler David Johnston of Tewksbury; maternal grandmother, ‘Nanie,’ Natalie (Celli) Robitaille of Tewksbury; paternal grandparents ‘Grampy’ and ‘Grammy,’ Carl William “Bill” and Nancy (Lovering) Johnston of Tewksbury, who are the guardians of Kaylee and Tyler; brother John McGloughlin Jr. of Tewksbury; her former step-father, John “Jack” McGlaughlin Sr. of Lowell; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, 'Papa' Donald S. Robitaille. Although Kerri's life was shortened, she will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter and sister.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, November 19, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Kerri Lee Johnston Memorial Fund, c/o Tewksbury Federal Credit Union, 752 Main St., Tewksbury, MA 01876, will be appreciated. The memorial fund is for the benefit of the children.
