Ivan K. "Bud" Inglis Jr., 80, of Manchester, NH died November 13, 2012 at his home and in the presence of his loving family.
He was born in Richford, VT, on September 23, 1932, the son of Ivan and Ferne (Bordo) Inglis, Sr. He was educated in the Richford school system prior to joining the US Air Force.
Until his retirement, Bud had been employed as an engineer for New England Telephone & Telegraph for many years. Previously, he had received engineering training and had been employed by Howard Hughes Aircraft.
Bud will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. He was a master craftsman who built everything from home additions to furniture, and won awards for the artistry of his hand-carved birds. A longtime member of Plausawa Valley Country Club, Bud enjoyed golfing with family and friends, taking walks, and had an appreciation for wildlife.
Family members include his wife of 60 years, Jennie (Baker) Inglis of Manchester; three daughters, Donna Applegate and husband Michael of Manchester, Peg Inglis of Edmond, OK, and Mindy Inglis-Reid and husband Tim of Pembroke; four grandchildren, Shawndra Kesselring and Erika Bosse, both of Manchester, Kody Inglis and Kaley Inglis, both of Hooksett; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Dean K. Inglis in November of 2006.
Committal services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
