Fabiola S. "Fabby" (Lareau) Almeida Rapoza, 86, of Fairhaven died November 14, 2012 peacefully at Alden Court after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Almeida and Manuel Rapoza.
Born in Quebec, Canada, she lived in Fairhaven most of her life.
Fabby was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Fairhaven.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, dancing and traveling.
Survivors include her 4 sons, Joseph Almeida and his wife Susan, Dana Almeida and his wife Debra and Stephen Almeida and his wife Cheryl, all of Fairhaven, Lambert "Bert" Almeida and his wife Sonia of Reading, MA; 3 sisters, Beatrice Menard and Diane Bergeron, both of New Bedford and Rita Mermaloid of California; 10 grandchildren, Margo and John Almeida, Derek Almeida, Shana Karabinos, Tara McKenchnie, Alyssa and Krysten Almeida, Stephen Almeida, Zachary and Hannah Almeida; 5 great-grandchildren, Oliver Karabinos, Sage Karabinos, Christina Karabinos, Emily McKenchnie and Lalya Almeida.
She was the sister of the late Alan Lareau.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett Saturday, November 17th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven at 9 AM.
