EAST TAUNTON - Douglas J. Lema, a longtime East Taunton resident, passed away at his home on Nov. 13, 2012, following a courageous four-year battle with cancer.
He was 45.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of Frank A. Lema Jr. of Davenport, FL and Brenda M. (Frates) Lema of East Taunton.
A 1984 graduate of Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School, Douglas worked as a self-employed painter for many years, and was a communicant of Holy Family Church.
He was an avid New England sports fan.
In addition to his parents, he leaves a daughter, Madison M. Lema of North Attleboro; a brother, Michael F. Lema of East Taunton; two sisters, Marcia J. Lema of Somerset and Dana Robino of FL; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, Nov. 17th at 10 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday Nov. 16th from 5 to 8 p.m.
