Ellen M. (Pereira) Amaral, age 92 of Swansea passed away November 13, 2012. She was the widow of Edward Amaral and daughter of the late Joaquim and Ellen (Meaney) Pereira. Ellen was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. John of God Church.
She was the mother of Mary Frances Barboza (husband Vic) of Swansea and Edward Michael Amaral (wife Joni) of Ramona, CA, grandmother of Vicki Mignault and great grandmother of Riley & Colin Mignault, all of Swansea. Ellen was the sister of the late Anthony, John, Henry and Agnes Pereira and Madeline Mello. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and crocheting.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA SATURDAY at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset at 9 A.M. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery,. Calling hours FRIDAY 4-8 P.M.
