Obituary

Anna (Ospachuck) Richards, 98 years old, a resident of Bedford, NH died on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH.

She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts and she was educated in Lawrence schools. She was a former resident of North Andover where she resided for 42 years. She has lived in Bedford since 1984 for the last five years she has lived with her son Robert. Anna worked since the age of 15 all the way until retirement at the age of 61. She did “all kinds of jobs,” including positions in manufacturing and mending clothes, her last position held was at Raytheon, until her retirement. She liked to sew and tend to her garden. Anna was honored for her age by the Town of Bedford, She received the Boston Post Cane at the Town Council meeting May 25, 2011 an honor given to the oldest living resident in town, she received a certificate signed by all seven town councilors and the replica cane. Most of her family lives close, in surrounding towns, but her daughter once lived in Paris. She remembered the visit fondly and the trip she took to other countries, too, like Austria and Germany.

Wife of the late: Alfred Richards, and she is survived by: Her son Robert and his wife Letty Richards of Bedford, NH, Her daughter Joan Howard of Newport News, VA, Her grandchildren: Chris Richards of Bedford, NH, Brian Richards of Manchester, NH, Tracey Alfaro of Harpers Ferry, West VA, Scott Howard of Newport News, VA. Sean Mindes of Atkinson, NH, and Milly Mindes of Tewkbury, MA. Great grandchildren Clara Richards, Dory Richards, Madison Mindes, Noah Healey and Jonathon Howard.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial services will follow at the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
