Rita Gazaille, 83, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of North Smithfield, died Friday morning at Mountain View Care Center in Tucson. She was the wife of the late Roland E. Gazaille, Sr.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Lionel O. and Alice (Rousseau) Bruyere. She was raised in Woonsocket and resided in North Smithfield for over 40 years. She lived in Arizona for the past several years.
Mrs. Gazaille was employed by Uniroyal for over 19 years and later worked at Polytop for many years before retiring.
Rita enjoyed relaxing in the outdoors whether gardening, a trip to the beach or just going for a walk.
Rita is survived by three sons Roland E. Gazaille, Jr., and his wife Suzanne, of North Smithfield, Gary Gazaille, and his wife Monique, of Tucson, AZ, Michael Gazaille, and his wife Marie, of Woonsocket, and a daughter Lucille Fascitelli of Phoenix, AZ. She was the sister of the late Wilfred and Aldor Bruyere and Doris Tremblay. She is also survived by her grandchildren Randy, Tim, Katie, Marc, David, Brian Adam and Jake, a great-grandson Nathan, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Paul’s Church, St. Paul Street., Blackstone. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm.
