Obituary

Mrs. Kimberly Ann Long Evans of Clarksville, Tennessee passed away late Sunday afternoon, at home, November 11, 2012. She died of complications from lung cancer and had been bed ridden for nine years.
Kimberly Evans was born in Las Vegas, Nevada in February 1955. She was 57 years old and had spent most of her life in Southern California and retired to Tennessee in July 1998.
She was a housewife but had worked as a Construction Superintendent and was a semi-professional quilted clothing designer and quilter and had designed 300 original garments and quilts.
Kimberly is survived by her husband, Mel Evans and two sons, Robert Merriam, a Chinook Pilot at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Philip, works at Progressive Directions in Dover, Tennessee.
Most of her surviving relatives live in California and include Philip Long, Sr, her father, Philip Long, Jr., her brother, and April Long, her sister. Her mother passed away eight years ago.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel. Entombment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. and Friday, November 16, 2012 from 12 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
