Leslie L. Hadley of Reading passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Wingate at Reading. He was 87 years of age.
Born in Reading, Leslie was the loving son of the late Leslie C. Hadley and Annie F. (Doucette) Hadley. Leslie was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed.
Leslie was a dedicated Fire Fighter for the Town of Reading for 33 years. He was a Member of the Moose Lodge and a proud United States Navy Veteran. He entered the Navy at the age of 17 and he proudly defended our freedom during World War II. Leslie was a loving and caring father and grandfather.
Leslie was the beloved husband of Lorraine (French) Hadley. He was the devoted father of Lynn Malone, Leslie L. Hadley, Jr., Richard Berquist and his wife Mary, Brenda Sealy. Leslie was the cherished grandfather of 13 & great grandfather of 3. He was the brother of Frank Hadley and his wife Claire, Edith Sheehan and her husband George. Leslie was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Wednesday at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Leslie’s Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available.
