Richard G. Taylor, 83, of Manchester, died November 8, 2012 at Elliot Hospital after a period of declining health.
He was born in Dorchester, MA on October 7, 1929 to Richard E. and Viola (Parker) Taylor. He was a graduate of Central High School in 1947 and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
He worked at Sanders Associates for many years.
Richard was president of Manchester Babe Ruth League Baseball and served as New Hampshire District Commissioner for Babe Ruth League Baseball for many years. He served on the New Hampshire Racing Commission for many years and was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge.
He enjoyed time spent with his family including the loves of his life, his two granddaughters.
The family includes his wife of 61 years, Chrisanthe (Joseph) Taylor of Manchester; two sons, R. Scott Taylor and his wife, Karen, of Bedford and Mark Taylor of Manchester; two granddaughters, Kelly Hock and her husband, Christopher, and Stefanie Taylor all of Manchester; a brother in law, George “Butch” Joseph and his wife, Jane, of Manchester; a sister in law, Nora Tito of Saco, ME; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, John Taylor and Robert Taylor.
Services were private and at the convenience of the family.
