Frances H. (Gawlik) Rose, age 68, passed away on Nov. 9, 2012 at the Kindred Hospital in Springfield. She was born on June 21, 1944 in Holyoke, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Duczek) Gawlik. She was a communicant of St Anthony of Padua Church. She worked as a clerk for the City of Chicopee for many years before she retired in 2010. She leaves her loving husband of 50 years, George B. Rose; 3 sons, David Rose, Richard Rose and Walter Rose. She is predeceased by her son George Rose. She leaves her daughter Darlene Desroches; one brother Walter Gawlik; 1 sister Dorothy Cutter; 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Calling hours will be held on Wed. Nov. 14, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
