Mr. Ronald E. “Ronnie” Petrone, age 50 of Medford, formerly of Tewksbury died suddenly on Thursday November 8th in the Beth Israel Deaconess Med. Center in Needham.
He was the beloved husband of the late Lisa (Palermo) Petrone. Born in Medford, son of Michael Petrone of Stoneham and Dolores Castellone of Revere, he is a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1980. Ronnie worked in the shipping and distribution department for several years with Coca Cola Bottling Companies.
He was a “Hockey” dad and enjoyed days of fishing with his dad and children. He was known to be an avid runner and will be remembered for the trips to Canobie Lake with his son Anthony.
In addition to his Father and Mother, he leaves his stepmother Helen Petrone of Stoneham. Ronnie is the beloved father of Krista, Nicholas and Anthony Petrone all of Medford, Brother of Lisa O’Brien of Medford, and Michael Petrone of WA. Son-in-law of Charlie and Adelina Palermo of Medford. Brother-in-law of Robert and Cathy Russo of Medford and Josephine Taylor of Tewksbury. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 through 8 Pm. at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, Wednesday at 9:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers and spiritual bouquets, fhe family requests that contributions in Ronnie’s name be sent to The Petrone Children's Fund, c/o Citizen's Bank , 257 Spring Street, Medford, MA. 02155. Attn: Stephanie.
