Travis E. Kingsmill, 89, of Clarksville, TN, died on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center. He was born on September 9, 1923 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late James Thomas Kingsmill, Sr. and Lula Beecham Kingsmill. He was also preceded in death by his son, Alfred "Bubba" Kingsmill.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Dr. Felts Dent officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. and Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Travis was a retired advertising salesman for the Leaf Chronicle. He loved to hunt and fish. He was also a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sadie Kingsmill of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Barbara (Mike) Dawson of Woodlawn, TN; granddaughter, Kimberly Burr; and great grandson, Zachary Burr.
Pallbearers will be Richard Howell, Mike Dawson, Zach Burr, Tom Stryjewski, Gary Alexander, and Jim Henderson.
