Joan M. (Giannetto) Julin, a resident of Florida and formerly of Minnesota and Melrose, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in Florida following a brief illness. She was 58 years old.
Joan was born in Chelsea on June 21, 1954, a daughter of the late Nicholas J. Giannetto and Joan M. (Hayden) Giannetto. Joan grew up in Melrose and attended the Melrose Public School system. Joan worked for several years before becoming a homemaker to care for her family. Joan was a dedicated friend of "Bill W."
Joan is the devoted mother of Rosemarie Julin and the late Andrea Julin. She is the loving Grammy to Andrew, Gino and D'Nario. She is the beloved twin sister of John A. Giannetto of Melrose and beloved sister of Anne-Marie Peterson and her husband Roger of Lake Forest, California, Dianne G. Giancarlo and her husband Charlie of Atherton, California and Nancy A. Farnham and her late husband Richard of Wakefield. She is the loving aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose with a procession to Wyoming Cemetery, Sylvan St. Melrose at 11 a.m. Following the cemetery service a Celebration of Joan's life will be held at The Melrose Fish & Game Club.
Memorial donations in Joan's name maybe made to St. Maurice Church, 2851 Stirling Road, Dania Beach, Florida 33312.
