David G. Auger, of Beverly Hills, FL, formerly of Brockton, died October 9, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Denise (Taje) Auger and the late Patricia (Patterson) Auger. David was born and raised in Brockton, a son of the late Richard F. and Katherine Auger. He was a 1964 graduate of Brockton High School and attended Chamberlayne College. He proudly served in the US Marie Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked as a civilian firefighter/EMT at Camp Lejeune, NC. He transferred to the Postal Service and retired from the mail processing plant in Brockton in 2001.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Richard W. Auger and his wife Jessica of West Bridgewater and Gerald M. Auger and his wife Nadine of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by his stepchildren Edward Taje and his wife Cheri of Taunton, Rick Taje of Florida and Lisa Jackson of South Easton, his brothers Paul Auger and his wife Donna of Bridgewater and R. Gregory Auger and his wife Jane of Middleboro; and his sister, Cathy Auger of Bridgewater. He had 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two nephews. He was the stepfather of the late Chris Taje.
A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 4-7pm. Burial will be held at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
