Catherine B. (Freeman) Lehan, age 88, of Norton, formerly of Brockton, died November 6, 2012 at Epoch Assisted Living of Norton. She was the loving wife for 60 years of the late Edward M. Lehan. Born and raised in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Clancy) Freeman, and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. After raising her family, Catherine had been employed as a Nurse’s Aide for West Acres and Braemoor Nursing Homes, and as a sales associate at Gilchrist Department Store. Catherine enjoyed taking care of her family and grandchildren, sewing, puzzles, reading and yoga.
She is survived by her children Michael Lehan of Brazil, Patricia Guillette of Brockton, Katie Neville of Marshfield and John Lehan of Shrewsbury; seven grandchildren, Kerri Guillette, Matthew, Alex and Nicolas Neville and Maclaine, Garrett, and Alexa Lehan; two sisters Sylvia Barkus and Alice Raulinaitis both of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Saturday at 8am for a funeral mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
