Carolyn Burton Hinton, 80, Clarksville, TN died Monday, November 5, 2012 at her residence. She was born April 14, 1932 in Sturgis, KY daughter of the late Emmett Arvel (Jack) Burton and Mary D. Herron Burton.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Byron Leroy Hinton.
She was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville for sixty years. She attended Twist and Shout at the Senior Citizen Center on Friday nights, played bridge every month with friends, and loved to go to yard sales on weekends. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Ms. Hinton was a retired registered nurse and retired from Clarksville Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include sons Tim Hinton and Jan Hinton, Clarksville; daughters, Penny Jones (Richie), Sturgis, KY and Nancy Russell (Scott), Knoxville, TN; sister, Alice Ann Burton Gross, Enfield, Conn; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 10, 2012 at 2 PM at First Baptist Church with Dr. John David Laida officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of the service at the church.
