Betty Jo Mintz Wilson, 76, of Tifton died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Unity Baptist Church. Rev. W. E. Fogarty will officiate with a private family burial to be held at a later date in Bushnell, Florida. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 10, 2012, immediately following the service at Unity Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wilson was born on June 25, 1936 in Virginia and was the daughter of Oscar K. Mintz and Alice Smith Mintz, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Wilson; and one sister. She was a seamstress and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Lake City, Florida.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by two sons, Ronald Lee Wilson of Hahira and William Wilson of Tifton; one daughter, Lana Wilson of Tifton; four sisters, Mildred Williams of Lake City, Florida, Elizabeth Ivester of Lake City, Florida, Susan Mae Sheldon of California and Barbara Ann Berliner of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Pamela Wilson, Kindall Eubanks, Shannon Wilson, B. J. Wilson and Scott Hughes; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
