Edgar A. Lamothe 84, formerly of Clinton St. died Saturday at St. Antoine Residence. He was the husband of the late Jeannine (Lambert) Lamothe. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Donat and Emma (Godin) Lamothe. Edgar was a custodian at AT Cross for twenty years before retiring in 1990. He was also a textile worker for many years. Edgar was a member of the St. Joseph Senior Citizens Club.
He is survived by a son Laurent E. Lamothe and his wife Michelle of West Warwick, two brothers Ernest Lamothe of Bellingham, and Roger Lamothe of N. Smithfield. Edgar was Pepere to Amy and Alex Phillips. He was also the father of the late Ronald Lamothe, and brother of the late Doris Heroux.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting Hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM.
