Obituary

Joseph (Bob) Lachance, 78, of Manchester, died November 5, 2012 at Catholic Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Lewiston, Maine on April 18, 1934 to Harris and Alice (Arsenault) Lachance. Joseph served in the Air Force as a communications specialist and retired as a sexton in 2005, from Brookside Congregational Church, UCC in Manchester. He enjoyed spending time with his family and vacationing at Disney World and Epcot Center. His passion was visiting Hawaii and traveling between the islands, with his favorite being Maui.

The family includes his loving wife of 44 years, Anne (Ramsey) Lachance of Manchester; a son Joseph Lachance, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Manchester; a daughter Debra Shanks and her husband David of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; 4 grandchildren, Emily, Gabrielle, Nathan and Chandler; a brother Gerald Lachance of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance was held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Brookside Congregational Church, 2013 Elm Street, Manchester. Burial was held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brookside Congregational Church, Pastors Discretionary Fund, 2013 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
