Obituary

Marjorie L. “Midge” Ryerson, 84, a fourth-generation, lifetime resident of Winchester, passed away at the Woburn Nursing Center on Nov. 4, 2012. Born, raised and educated in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Watson) Ryerson. A Registered Nurse, Midge was employed at Winchester Hospital, Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and several area nursing homes throughout her nursing career. As a Winchester resident, she was a member of the Council on Aging and the tenant’s group at the Palmer St. Senior Housing Complex in Winchester. In her spare time, Ms. Ryerson enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, cross-stitching and knitting sweaters for her family. She also liked the Red Sox and Celtics. A life-long Democrat, Midge took pleasure in political discussion, and was informed and interested. Midge was the beloved mother of Susan (Conrad) Oliva of N. Reading, Richard Conrad of Burlington, Peter Conrad of Beverly, Katie (Conrad) Fuller of Lancaster, NH and John Mutch of N. Reading. She was also the dear sister of William T. Ryerson, Sr. of Winchester, and is further survived by 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are private.
