SUTTON-Nicholas V. Andrews, 80, of 27 Westview Drive died Friday, June 11th in UMass Memorial Hospital. He leaves his wife of 47 years Helen F. (Christo) Andrews, a brother Paul Andrews of Westover, VT, a sister Dorothy Bennett of West Boylston and many nephews and nieces. 2 brothers Samuel and Peter Andrews predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Vasil and Dimoklia (Fatsa) Andrews. Mr. Andrews had worked at Wyman-Gordon for 30 years and later as Administrative Director for Bath Path Vocational Technical School for many years. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Clark University, his Master’s Degree from Fitchburg State College completed advanced graduate studies at Worcester State College. He was a member of St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, the American Society of Mechanical Engineering, a lifetime member of the Ionic Avenue Boy’s Club, a 32nd Degree Mason and a registered professional engineer.
The funeral is Monday, June 14th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 11:00 AM in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, June 13th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. A Trisagion Service will be conducted at 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
